HPP Real Estate Sales

I received a list of recent HPP residential real estate transactions in the mail today. I don't know how this compares to previous time periods, but clearly sales are still taking place.

Sales HPP October 1 - November 14:
Residential (land sales not included)

8 homes near Paradise Drive
4 homes near Kaloli Drive
3 homes near Maku'u Drive
2 homes near Shower Drive

I had heard earlier this month that sales near Maku'u Dr and the "blue line" zone were non-existent, this would indicate that's not the case.

Some may have gone into escrow before the flow became a subject of grave concern.

I considered that, but most offers contain a buyer's contingency clause which would allow them to cancel the contract if they wanted to.

A realtor friend said she's had several residents of HS approach her with interest in buying a home in HPP. But pretty sure it was before the recent mauka breakout near the crack system...

So I'm not the only one concerned about the new mauka breakout in the crack system? While I'm grateful for the respite from impending threat to Puna, I'm not sure HPP is out of the woods yet..(or maybe ever)

I don't give a rat's pa-to-ti about land sales or prices as I'm not going anywhere or selling, but I sure hope home is still home as the years go on.
