Is this just a quickie decision to take the pressure off his 1-8-15 fund raiser in Honolulu?

Yes, it's very suspicious that Russell would show interest in his home town. I've seen him hanging around the Makuú Market wearing sunglasses as a disguise. Very suspicious, indeed.*

Why it's diabolical! Ruderman hosted free talk-story sessions before, during and after each legislative session. I've attended three, and hope to attend this one. Amazing that he planned all this years in advance, knowing that kjlpahoa would eventually criticize his fundraiser.
That's seven free in-district events so far. How many talk story events were held by all other local reps and senators? A total of zero, combined. Clearly this was all planned to deflect kjl's comments.

Ruderman had one this same time last year. IIRC, he has one affer the legislative session is over, just before session, and usually one during session. To imply that that these Talk Story meetings have any connection to a fundraiser is nothing short of simplemindedness in it's pure form.
