Pahoated. I know the "I make things up" quote has been doing the rounds here recently, but it is so appropriate for you. The old Soviet Union was the first country to land something softly on Mars. They also beat NASA in soft landing instruments on Venus, a much harder challenge than landing softly on Mars. NASA beat the Soviets when it came to putting a human on the moon, the greatest challenge of all, but the greater challenge might be to make you stop making things up.
Please, give credit where it is due and not try to rewrite history. NASA does great stuff but they haven't always been the first to do something.
