Home Ins Pahoa
#11
At any rate we are fully insured so we sleep well at night. One of our neighbors decided to play the insurance gamble and not purchase any home insurance. That might have been okay but he also neglected to cut the towering Albezia on his property. Well we all know where this story goes - the Albezia fell over and crushed 2 cars and part of the house. No insurance meant that out of pocket costs forced him to take a mortgage out on his home. As a retired senior on a fixed income - he is now facing the potential loss of his home and may need to move back to the mainland and live with one of his children. Please consider all potential dangers when deciding to skip home insurance. It's a big gamble that you cannot afford to lose.

Haha... Insurance... It's a suckers game. You hear stories like these all the time. Insurance companies are betting against the odds... The odds that you will file a claim, yet you keep mailing in those checks in and on time. and know that they are making tons of cash off of the policyholders. I'll keep my cash in my pocket! Thanks, but no thanks!

Well of course you must have emergency money stashed for when your liabilities end up costing you. In the case I referenced it was upwards of 20K.
