Paulownia trees
#1
Anyone here have experience or info about Paulownia trees in Hawaii? I'm reading that some varieties can be invasive, but others are not... maybe?

I would not plant any Paulownia trees even 2 miles offshore. They are as invasive as you can get, with keikis everywhere, even on the mainland. I can't even fathom how invasive they'd be in Hawaii. The flowers are nice, but nowhere near nice enough to counter-balance all of the hassle they cause.

Edited to add that I've grown both Tomentosa and Kawakamii, and they're both crazy invasive.

+1 Justin, and every flower turns into a small walnut-like seed. Very fast growing but THERE ARE BETTER TREES TO PLANT.
