Anyone seen any whales?

It's quiet tonight. Maybe they're all hungover or partying at Kehena. Thanks, Sandy!

Aloha Tom. We've been thinking about taking a trip down the road for a look see. Is there a general tme of night that's good for whale viewing?
I apologize for all the spelling errors of late. I think the words are getting smaller. Maybe time for me to see the eye Doc again and find out how the cataracts are doing. Apparently, they're fine. Yuck.

Saw two blowing at Onekahakaha yesterday. And an awesome breach at Hapuna about a week ago.
Would love to just sit back all day somewhere and just watch for them.

Recent discovery the female humpback has her own beat frequency, almost below human audible range. The audio is down the page, needs headphones to hear. Plus it was long thought humpbacks were strictly near surface feeders, put a camera on one and found out it feeds towards the bottom also.

Haven't seen any in a while down our way by Kehena. Spent most of the day watching Hilo Bay yesterday. Did not see any whales. Where have you been seeing them lately?

There are whales immediately north of Kaloli Point tonight (heard but not seen), but this is the first time I've heard them for a couple of weeks or so.

Big whale party off Kaloli point this evening. The fin slapping actually woke me up and I'm a few hundred yards from the shore...
