Why would you consider not paying something you agreed to pay..

HPP also has a lot of collected road fees. I've been paying mine on time for over 30 years.
We have to pay in order to be members "in good standing". If you don't pay, you have no voice in the association, not that anybody is listening anyway.

Why would you consider not paying something you agreed to pay when you bought your home?
Because the revenue is being diverted from its original stated purpose? Perhaps by an "assocation" that considers itself unaccountable? (Yes, the same could be said of taxes, generally.)

Therein lies the rub, and the reason the road fees can increase by 10% yearly.
In addition, lot owners are not privy to the financials so we have no idea where the $, our $ is going.

The road fees ARE voluntary in Hawaiian Acres, but some idiots still sue the road corp and waste our money donated for roads.
