Big surf March18/19 2016
#1
Think this is the loudest surf I've heard. The house shakes every so often when a big wave hits and I'm a few hundred yards from the Kaloli Point cliffs. I'm on the northern part of the point and the surf is coming from the north and it's keeping me awake which is saying something. Hope people nearer the shore are safe.

Reports from some people are that waves were large enough to sweep over the cliffs earlier today. That doesn't happen often.

Yes, I'm on 14th, a couple miles up, and can hear it roaring from here.

Here's a good place to check out the waves all around the big Island, http://www.surfline.com/buoy-report/hawaii-hilo_8905/ Hilo's almost breaking 9 footers, the swell is coming from the north. and surprising that yawl are reporting it's the biggest or loudest ever as, 9 footers are sweet, excellent size, big not HUGE.
