Further, drywall scrap, the bane of construction, can be fine ground and made into a soil ammendment. Studied and approved as a soil amendment sight liming efect, and helps soil ammendment, promotes tilth etc.
did some finish work on one of the oldest frame buildings in hawaii, Tong wo mission in kohala. The work was for the 100th anniversery in early 1979s. The hawi jail was made out of the old cooking house in the 1960s. All original lumber was broght into Mahu Kona by boat dropped overboard into the bay, and left for up to a year as this was a self help project by cane workers on their spare time. A year at sea, think mabe it got a little salt soaked in the process, wood preservatives used to be salt based. And now with the new attitude on mercury, when the people see the effuent emitted on our newly christened mercury vapor eco lights, they'll need to call Joes mercury Hazmat team, who will do a thorough abatment of same, and throw it into the seawater wood treatment sluury for it's anti fungal and bacterial qualities.
Soaked long or pressurized, kiln dried, water sealed and sold. Mercury was banned in paint topcoat, and now completely, where the hazard is in the vapor. It suppresses mold, mildew etc. Why won't it work?
