Hilo Hawaiian hotel has an awesome brunch every Sunday. Might need reservations for Father's Day. Took mom there on random Sunday, everybody was impressed. The hotel including restaurant areas have been recently remodeled.

Specific father's day menu (scroll down to Father's Day Brunch Buffet Menu): http://us6.campaign-archive2.com/?u=9455513b4a6d45a7ab8c7b8f3&id=b093fb891d

I wish I was making plans for Father's Day. I sure miss my Dad. We took Him to the buffet at Mauna Lani's. He loved it. Hapuna Prince has a beautiful breakfast buffet too. 30$. Don't know what the Hilo Hawaiian charges these days, but it was 30$ twenty years ago and I doubt it's gone down in price. There are some decent Kamaaina rates for rooms on the other side too. Maybe the Ohana would love a beach day to celebrate? Wherever you decide to go, make a reservation just to be safe. It's a real busy restaurant day, second only to Mother's Day and Easter.
I hope all you Dads feel really loved and appreciated on Father's Day and always!
