Why do you feel the need to minimize the type of sexual assault? Trust me, if I kick your ass the judge won't care too much if I broke your arm or if I broke your leg, I am still going to jail. Why make the distinction for sexual assault?

And why do I need to be "anti-gov" in order to care about the local children being preyed upon?

It sounds to me like bananahead is trying to explain the low bail on this case, something all of us questioned. I don't think he is minimizing what happened, he's trying to explain how the law is written, and distinctions in the law which result in differing bail amounts set for someone accused of this type of crime.
