I noticed today driving into Hilo town that there are a couple of Hawaiian flags being flown upside down. Can anyone enlighten me about this practice?

An upside down Flag is a sign of distress,someone has major problem, hope they can rectify same!

That would concern the illegal occupation of an independent country, Hawaii, by occupational forces over an extended period of time ie; The USA
