In the event of shark attack, the value of lifeguards is great for administering first aid. But little they can do to prevent one.

RWR, you probably would have got more attention on this if you put "Shark" in the headline. Fairly big story. It was on the national news tonight. Hope the guy survives.

My wife and I got chased out last year in that same bay by a 14ft tiger shark. We were swimming right towards it and that same lifeguard station told us to get out of the water by making a fin with there hand on top of their head and pointing towards the shark. I don’t think I have ever swam that fast. They closed the bay after that for the day.
