Now back up to a half dozen trashed/burnt vehicles again near the south end of Beach Road. Not a bad place to take vehicles you wish to demolish and burn;

One would think that our illustrious vehicle theft task force could simply place a few hidden trail cams pointing at the popular dumping ground - and when the alert gets sent over cell system, send a couple officers over to arrest them...

Makes sense, but the window-smashing and burning? Maybe they presume this will destroy evidence (as if the police had the resources or inclination to check for prints and DNA to solve auto thefts). Maybe they just enjoy smashing and burning things. Probably both.
