small question about fireworks

"......has a bad case of TDS. Trump Derangement Syndrome"

That's funny. Urban dictionary: "Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) is a mental condition in which a person has been driven effectively insane due to their dislike of Donald Trump, to the point at which they will abandon all logic and reason. Symptoms ...range from hysterical outbursts to a complete mental break.

Sufferers have also been known to wish direct self harm on themselves (such as increased taxes, a desire for an economic recession, and even nuclear war), provided that the action might in some way hurt Donald Trump...."

Aloha Royal, and we now we no longer have to worry about a "rocketman" shooting a massive one either. Peace is good.

glinda has a bad case of TDS...

OMG.. yes! I itch all over.. 24/7. But worry not. I am sure the cure is right around the corner.. now that real people.. actual patriots.. have regained congress.. have investigative powers... and the will to use them.

Though I doubt we'll outgrow our desire to blow things up anytime soon.

My humbug is I used to bring the kitties in before it got going and now folks are so anxious to light the buggahs they were spooked long before I had the chance. Thankfully they found their way home by dawn..

Kalakoa: "apparently fireworks in Puna don't count towards the "official" incident log."

--------------------------

The numbers reflect complaints, not incidents. Everything with county response is complaint driven, and usually not even then. But you knew that. You're usually the first to point it out. I think all it means is that Puna folk are more tolerant/less prone to complaining about...well, let's just keep calling them "fireworks".

How big of a mortar tube do the fire out of, and what is the average cost
...
this all got started with a simple question about size and cost of fireworks.

This thread did result in some unexpected fireworks, didn't it?
What surprises me, is how small some of the tubes and rockets are, and yet they make so much noise.

On top of that, the biggest, highest most fantastic display anticipated by the spectators can end up a complete and total dud, not getting more than a few feet off the ground, twizzling in circles, bumping around along the ground like a broken windup toy, injuring people who get too close to it's unpredictable trajectory, all the while a few watching who haven't personally been harmed in some manner by the disaster continue to ooh and ah, telling everyone this is exactly how it's supposed to go, in fact, this might be the best fireworks display they've ever seen.

Plenty of videos on YouTube on how they set up commercial firework displays, as well as demos of the smaller kine.
