If the pump is full of air then it can not generate enough pressure to satisfy the pressure switch.

Eigoya, Pg 8 of the Grundfos Instruction manual covers "pump runs, no water" scenarios... have you tried the list?
Pg 5 of the Grundfos Instructions covers how to prime for initial startup (seems that even though it is self-priming, it needs to be filled with water at start-up)
