The largest active volcano on earth, active again

I'm a little surprised you guys haven't brought this up, but I understand, you have a much more immediate volcano to monitor! Anyways, looks like swarms of earthquake and continued summit inflation, suggestive of renewed recharge of the volcano's shallow magma storage system.

I think only Rob can delete a thread once someone has replied, but we have multiple threads about all sorts of things, so why not keep it active?!

fwiw... Kona's Hualalai erupted its last time in 1801...

Mauna Loa has erupted 34 times since the last Hualalai eruption....... this is called ACTIVE!

one Mauna Loa flow in 1950 went 15 miles in 3 hours before hitting ocean,.. thats 5 MPH... all before they even knew it erupted...
