Yes, it's not related to Puna directly, but a bit of news related to a slightly larger sphere. Our universe.

Thanks birdmove, good find. It was first spotted by an amateur astronomer! Canada-France-Hawaii Observatory astronomers are now watching:

Observations completed by Karen Meech and her team at the University of Hawaii indicate the comet nucleus is somewhere between 1.2 and 10 miles (2 and 16 kilometers) in diameter.

Just to avoid confusion, Jon's post was about the discovery of water on an exoplanet which might suggest the chances of life forming there. HOTPE's post is about a newly discovered comet with an orbit that suggests its origin is interstellar.

Thanks TomK, that's what happens when I have 20 open tabs across dual monitors, the phone rings and I walk away for 15 minutes. I forget where I left off!

so, just for clarification, this forum is about A. Hawai'i related stuff, and B. Astronomy stuff? Because I was of the impression that this forum was about Hawai'i stuff.
