Anyone in the Pahoa area know? I just don't wanna run all the way into Hilo for it.

Carrie, we only have concrete now, and will have all tile when finished... no carpet= no need for carpet shampoo (I refuse to ever let Jim get a RUG, no matter how thin the top gets!)

Agree with Carey.Wall-to-wall carpet it the most unhealthy/time/money consuming things in the household.Especially in rentals. The stained carpet is generously sprayed on by moving out tenants with harsh chemicals-for the next renter to inhale it.The substance which makes it flame-resistant contains cyanide derivatives, evaporated when melted!
It's not all that bad,but unless you have a medical condition (hard to walk),area rugs are much better.
Though it's much cheaper with the carpet,my house is going to have tile everywhere.
Carey, what type of tile are you using?

most of the house will have porcelein tile that has a terrazo look (bathrooms white 2x2" grind tiles..)

Before buying hubby checked every tile we looked at to make sure they were not slick when wet (really fun to be around him! - he placed every tile I looked at on the floor of the store, splashed water on it & tried to see if he could slide on the tile, the least slidey tile won! design by slideless?)

Carey,I can not laugh anymore-it hurts...
Your hubby figure-skating on the tile..
How much he charges for a field test?
Wait,I forgot:"His fee is food, but it's no savings for( me)".

P.S.Your jokes about your hubby are in the "top 10",but too personal to be included in the scrap book.Ever thought about writing a comedy on the subject?
