What does it cost to have a large albizzia tree removed these days?  Yes, stump and all.  Does it make sense to have it ground up for garden mulch?

If it's absolutely huge with multiple large trunks you're looking at a similarly large bill.  My guess is well over a thousand bucks, possibly several thousand.  Please let us know what you find out with estimates.  A tall, spindly albizia that could easily be dropped would probably cost $100.

No, I'm afraid it wouldn't be worth the cost to grind it up.  However, you could use the smaller branches with their leaves as a chop and drop mulch.
