Chain link fence on 8000 sg ft estimate
#11
Kawika Stevens built a hogwire fence around our HPP acre over two years ago, and it is as solid as the day his crew finished it. The neighbors marvel at it and at the price we paid. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Cheers,
Jerry

Thank you everyone again.The only thing I didn't hear is the price.I would like to have at least some idea before I call Kawika Stevens or anyone else.I need to know in advance to avoid the situation when I have to say that it is too much for me.Just an example -I found out that the architect is charging $ 9-12 / sq ft with the plan for the same house that this architect stamped several years ago (the owner lended it to me) not in the first or the second e-mail,though I did ask in the very beginning.
I totally respect a person's right to charge whatever they want,but if I knew in advance..
So if anyone has some idea,please,email me if you don't want to post it.I would really appreciate it.

P.S. I would like to know the price for any type of nice looking fence to install+ materials.I am open to other options.

Have you considered just fencing part of your lot to save money. I have decided to do that to give my dog room to play and go in the yard without me having to let him out all the time. In CA I loved my fenced yard but here I kind of like how most yards are open.

Beachboy quoted the following for a nice wall:

$500.00 per pillar. four pillar and about 24 ft of wall was $3000.00 dollars. These guys work fast too!

Crizzy quoted the following for a nice wall:

"The fenceline is already cleared. I’m still shocked at the quote I got: to fence my lot with solid vinyl fencing at the front of the lot and a hog wire fence around the other three sides came to $26,200!"

Dr. Weatherford quoted the following for a nice wall:

two double gates at front, and two side gates, all with columns;
stones from the lot, and we used our equipment to move them to edges;
all costs -- labor, sand, cement -- $40,000.

There is a whole Thread on fence costs...

And another Thread on fencing options.

This is just a few things that have been said previously.

Your asking for a price.

You won't get a price quote until someone sees the actual property.

The fencing could be an easy job for under $10,000 or it could go up in costs to $50,000-$100,000.

If your asking us for quotes because your embarrassed to ask a professional....then I feel real sorry for you, because only the professional can give you an estimate or cost dependent on your actual property.[Wink]

*edit* I was once told that if I had to ask how much it cost, I probably couldn't afford it.

It does seem like your asking how much a lot of stuff costs here.

Things change rapidly, and any price quote given to you now...may be completely different 4-5 months from now.

Definitely put something, there is a hog wire fence between me and my neighbor house, the dogs just find a spot a wiggle under (good thing our dogs are buddies),some of his dogs are probably 50# or so. Maybe if its placed over lava rock, or put some rocks by the base?

Good Luck

Ohanamama,you don't go through the barb wire just for a buddy.I think the separation was so unbearable that the pooch just decided :"No woofing prison is going to keep me from the love of my life! Uf!Period!!!"
