HPM HOUSE NEED CONTRACTOR
#1
Anyone know of good contractor who maintains their worker's comp ?

Also is it to unrealistic to hope to find a fully insured general contractor who would just put up th shell and roof? Or is this too small time for them?

WE can tile, do cabinets, sheetrock and paint, and can hire the rest of the subs but can't put up the shell or roof it.

Am wanting to play it by the rules and so need to have worker's comp in place and cant seem to find an insurance agent who will get a quote for me to buy myself. They all just keep sending me back to hiring a contractor.

If you go the owner/builder route you can run payroll through a payroll service and they facilitate the work comp and all other requirements including insurance, etc... It worked well for us.

I was considering going the owner / builder route... I called Bud instead, 5 months from grading to final permit and under budget, I honestly feel that I would have spent more time and $$$$ doing the project myself, we do best what we do most....

Bud built the house. In the meantime I earned some more money doing what I do best - we both won

You might try Hamilton Homes; 808.640.1031

I'm a plumbing contractor in the area and Jzon Hamilton seems to have a nice operation.
