Lilikoi transplanting
#1
Howdy Aloha,
Got about seven or so lilikoi that I started in a garden thinking I could trellis them but no way. They are over taking everything. I want to transplant them to a border fence that I am putting in and was looking for some feedback on the best way to do it.
Much Mahalo ahead of time.

Cut them back to about eighteen inches once you have the new holes prepared and make sure there's lots of organic matter in the new holes, or, cut them back and put them in pots in semi-shade until you're ready to put them in the ground. The more organics in the hole the faster they will grow and they can be trained up treelines like guavas, miconia etc. Osmocote twice/year.

Thank JayJay....when you wrote "cut them back about 18 inches, does that mean, from the end or from the stalk? Leave 18inches of vine, vs. take 18 inches off?
