Ryan's Hauling has received a new County contract despite being seriously past due on tipping fees at the landfill.

From West Hawaii Today:

In total almost $3 million is owed the county by waste haulers. A county official states that being current in payments is not a specification for bidders.

Oh well, another day in Hawaii County

Make that "waste haulers" Rob. You are right, this really is ridiculous! I think the politicians in the "Banana Republic" countries could come here to learn! SmileSmileSmile
