Whales! Lots of Whales!
#1
Finally, our waters are filled with whales! We have been watching them all day. Lots of spouts all over from here (Paukaa Point) to Richardson's. And plenty of breeching too, there must be quite a few of them we counted 8 spouts within 2 minutes about 2:00. HOW FUN!!!![Big Grin]

Anyone know if there are whales abounding off Hilo this morning? I have an elderly visitor who would like to see some whales.

Are there any whale watching boats in Hilo?
Assume the best and ask questions.

I've seen a boat that looked like a whalewatching one, on Banyan Drive diagonally across from Ken's.
Sorry, I don't know the name.

There are plenty of whales just outside of the breakwater this morning, it is still pretty overcast though. It's hard for me to see them unless I scan the sea with my binoculars.
