PNW container space 2009?
#1
Is anyone shipping a container from the Pacific Northwest this summer, or at least this year? We should be closing on a house soon and still have a 5ftx5ftx8ft storage locker with the sentimental stuff (family furniture that will make the transition and art mostly) we couldn't bear to sell when we moved here 3 years ago. We would love to get some space in someone's container since we obviously don't have anywhere near a container load. We could decide to buy some additional stuff in Oregon when we go back to empty the locker, so we might be able to take up some more space, but not a whole lot more. We are educators, so we will be flexible about time as long as it is within the Hawaii school vacations.

Carol, Are you shipping out of Portland, or Seattle?

Portland would be better because our stuff is in Eugene, but we would take it to Seattle if we had to.

Not sure if we'll have anywhere near even half a container-load... Will know more after we make the trek back to Idaho this summer. Lots of sorting and more down-sizing to do, although there's not too much left at this point. Sounds like we're kind of in the same boat as you are: How much do we really want to bring over? Can't keep it there any longer though. Maybe just several crates...
We would need to ship out of Seattle.
