2006-07-11 14:55:22 Speed test @ www.sonic.net 2827/693 kbps
2006-07-11 14:54:14 Speed test @ dslreports-west2.speakeasy.net 2601/693 kbps
2006-07-11 14:53:04 Speed test @ dslreports.linkline.com 2522/742 kbps
2006-07-11 14:52:08 Speed test @ dslr-west1.megapath.net 2567/685 kbps

If you are still having speed issues I'd highly urge you call up HawTel and open a trouble ticket.

Ya, I got really good results by calling in for a trouble ticket for getting my phone and DSL connected after I moved from a spot in (dicey) Hawaiian Beaches to Orchidland, but it was a bit of hoop jumping choreography to get it done. Eventually they gave me a $25 credit for involving me in a major email security breech after the corporate changeover. Yippee! Seriously though the field techs from the local offices know a lot more about what's going on out here, and they only come out when there's a trouble ticket. My wish is that the lame-o "coming back local to Hawaii" ad campaign might actually mean a local service office someday. ya

For everyone's information, Hawaiian Tel's
bandwidth supplier cut over the new additional
bandwidth last night.

We FINALLY got our Hawaii Telcom modem last week, and it seems to be working great. It only took six and a half weeks to get service!

Aloha,
Jerry

I am noticing a great improvement in speed especially with FTP.
