In my case, I was annoyed by the spate of new topics that were not really topics. They were more like "inspirational" statements.
I've been posting here for two years. I read the forum before I posted. I tentatively started one topic, with a real question about a subdivision. I would never have dreamed of starting four topics that were just expressing some aspect of my view of the universe.
I responded to paul24, not knowing anything about the Parkinsons' or the miracle cure because I rarely read the non-classified's if I'm not buying or selling.
I suppose for that reason I responded candidly and with no guilt about asking someone who has a difficult condition to comply with the etiquette and guidelines of the forum.
I'm happy to welcome paul24, but I don't like seeing all these new non-topics. What if everyone did that? How about just joining in the conversation by replying to other people instead of starting new topics?
I belong to several forums and I only start topics when I see a real need for discussion or there's some real information to be shared.
localgirl, who are you calling uneducated? I'm underemployed [] but certainly not undereducated. I think I have some obscene amount of college classes under my belt, more than fifteen years worth, in different programs. I'm so educated I'm embarrassed to say how much time I've spent in school. [:0]

PS. I am only replying to defend my stand because I respect hikatz' opinion.
