I remember years ago we had this beautiful mango tree And It was loaded and just getting ready to go off.

A Somoan couple came by and asked if they could have some mangoes.
I said sure they're plenty.

I went to town and when I returned the whole tree was stripped.
And I showed up just as they were ready to leave, truck loaded.

I was furious and they just played dumb and said
"WOt? You said we could take it"

Then they offered me some of my own Mangoes

agreed.

last year, our mango tree in kailua, o'ahu, had a bountiful of fruit. we gave bags and bags to our neighbors. one day after having dropped off a bag to a neighbor, she set-up a table and starting selling them. i guess they were now HERS so she could do whatever with them. sorry to say, we didn't give her any more.

another neighbor was given loads, too. but just didn't have enough. i saw her stretching across our wall, picker in hands and snatching away. renee went over there and told her to just ask and she'd be given. thankfully, she didn't get hurt or bitten by our dogs.
