Family Doctor Hilo - Medicare?
#1
I am starting a new thread here because things change so often. My mother is 70 (today) and disabled. We found a Prosthetist in Hilo, but will need a family doctor who takes Medicare. She is on several medications and needs to be seen monthly because of that reason.

If you have an elderly friend or parent or other and they see a good family doctor in Hilo, please lemme know who and where...we'll do some research, but frankly it's been somewhat difficult from so far away. We'll be there soon, but I would like to have something lined up or at least a prospect before we leave. Mahalo once again for all your help.

Hi Carrie, Perhaps you can work backward on this and ask the Prosthetist in Hilo who the majority of his patients use. Kind of get a list and go from there. Just an idea. Mella

Carrie,
My Mom uses Kaiser in Hilo and really likes the service she gets there. Does Kaiser take Medicare?

Believe it or not, Keaau Clinic just got an unbelievable doctor - Dr. Leibenmoth - he's a bit unconventional - down to earth - and seems to know his stuff. Of course time will tell if he stays - but he previously worked in small communities (practised rural medicine rather than big city medicine).
