I enjoyed reading that; thanks for posting, Bullwinkle.

The article references the Hamakua coast, but what about shore/reef fishing along the Puna coast? Anyone on here have local knowledge to share? Are edible species abundant and easily caught on the Puna coast? Do most people fish from the cliffs, from a small boat, canoe or kayak? What species do people typically catch and eat?
