Abercrombie intending to resign from Congress
#1
From the Star Bulletin this morning:

It seems there will be a congressional seat open as Neil Abercrombie steps down to run full time for governor.
Assume the best and ask questions.

I also read today the state may not have enough money to hold a special election to fill the seat. Remember, no taxation without representation. B-)

This news puts a new spin on his resignation:

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424...18692.html

It seems the timing of Abercrombie's leaving, along with the recent death of John Murtha and a premature retirement, will leave the Democrats exactly one vote short of a majority to pass the president's health care reform.

And Abercrombie's always claimed to be tight with Obama. With friends like that ....

Regarding the article, don't know who beyond the WSJ or GOP believes that Djou has much of a chance.
