How many lots are in Seaview? Nobody else from there seem to be posting concerned and scared posts here. Go to the public hearing to voice your opinion, or better yet, "grease" the wheels at the appropriate levels. Or even better is to start your own "controversial" business to compete with them! Greg, the question here is not about how good a certain community activity is.

The question is whether or not a right for a piece and privacy of a private person should be overwritten by a group of people who decide what is good for the community.

It would be easy for me to vote for SPACE - why not?

I live far enough to hear the noise or have all other "perks" when we talk about crowds.

But as I said,I wouldn't trade my location.

So far - NO VOLUNTEERS to trade, even from the same subdivision.
And there are empty lots around which are owned by someone.
I even know one PW member who owns but doesn't live here.

Of course, not everyone reads PW.But may be this will be brought up in the meeting.

Interesting to note, this is from Stillhope a year ago, on January, 26, 2009…. SPACE was a major plus for her then….

“I have walking distance to the beach (no car getting broken into),

walking distance to the farmer's market, swap meet,SPACE center and the

best neighbors you can wish for”

Carey!
It still is!

If you are familiar with Seaview locations, the bottom of it,near the ocean is very far from SPACE to be affected by the crowds attending it!
That's where I live.

And like I said before,a selfish person in me wants a lot of interesting activities at SPACE.

Why not? They are NIMBY.Right?

I think that is democracy in action, still hope. But the rights of an individual to participate in the Sea View Community democratic process is essential.

There is also the issue of one person holding up the entire process which is why some communities practice Consensus-1.

Hope, and anyone else who is interested in our land use policy, I recommend you read this document put out by the Planning Commission. It's not very long or hard to read, and addresses some of your questions.
