I was wondering if Pahoa put on a parade or anything for the state champs? its a big deal and some communities really go all out for the team and promote the victory. We had a small parade and a few business (food) bought the team a meal.
Ideals also include; name a day after each player, coach etc...
2010 state champ lic. plate holder for cars and trucks.
Letters from public folk telling the school and team thumbs up etc...
State Champs tee shirts and hoodies, rings are nice but can get costly, it helps to have local shop owners to help sponser things and we all now how they are struggling.
This kind of stuff goes a long ways and helps with recruiting younger kids to want to do the same when their time comes.
