Last year we got tickets to the Merrie Monarch and then couldn't go. This year our calendar is wide open, but we couldn't get tickets. <Sigh...>
We do want to go to the free evening on Wednesday, but I understand it's a first-come, first served event. Anyone have advice about what time we should start lining up?

Well, in the past we've gone at 4pm and got in BARELY last year. This year we will start at about 1:00 with chairs, etc.

We went at 2:30 last year and got in just fine. Stopped at Subway first to stock up. I think they open the doors at 5:00, but they opened early last year because of a downpour. So in we went, sat, talked story, ate our sandwiches, until they started @ 6:00. Overall the sights & sounds & etc. are WONDERFUL as you know! C U there (if I knew what you looked like!)
