Can someone please tell me what transfer stations accept what materials? Recently the Glenwood station began taking recyclables. I'm interested in where I can take appliances, furniture, and other larger materials. Thanks!

The Pahoa transfer station takes large appliances. I don't know about furniture and the other things you mentioned. Check with the Keaau transfer station also.

While up at the Volcano station a kindly station person gave me a sheet of computer paper generated with all the new hours and such. Talked story about the gate being put up at the station, and then stolen, talked story about the chain being put up at the station to keep off hours patrons out, chain stolen!
Any how isn't there one spot internet site where all this information could be available and accessible for everyone to look at, time schedules, day of week schedules, address and what is and isn't accepted at each location?
Oh well good luck then.

Well I forgot the best part, the Volcano station was closed the day I went buy, it wasn't their scheduled day to be closed, but the cleaners were there to clean up and well so the station was closed.
After talking story the kindly station hand voluntarily took my small white sack of garbage for me and disposed of it with a big smile, and wasn't that nice! Yes it was and so sincere too, just like aloha!
