Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all our friends in Puna. It hardly feels like winter here either this year - we've had several days with highs in the 50s in December, which is extremely unusual for Philadelphia.
We got a head start on the traditional celebration of Christmas here today, meeting our friends in Chinatown for dim sum before returning home to watch football. We had our main family celebration of the holidays last week, when we drove to Scarsdale to celebrate Chanukah with more than a dozen of my cousins plus our daughter, son-in-law, and youngest grandchild.
We had an even bigger family celebration last month in the Boston area, when our twin granddaughters had a joint bar mitzvah. Our entire family was there together for that event, which is rare now that they are all so spread out geographically. Our son-in-law's sister came from Jerusalem with her family, so his side of the family was also well-represented.
We regret that we will not be coming back to Puna this winter, but we remain hopeful for another trip next winter.

And Merry, Happy Christmas too every one too. We just got back from working on our lot, after getting stuck in Denver for three delightful days and two nights sleeping on the floor. Yes it is true, the airlines, airport and all will not bother to do as much as give you a glass of water when "weather" interrupts your travel.
However, we made it back with two days to spare, grabbed tree yesterday and bunches of food for family. Have a happy..
And a special thanks to Cary and Jim! A couple of the most unselfish people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting.
Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas!, Happy, happy!

Merry Christmas to all and thank you so much for your kindness and advice through this journey Rick and I took. Although we aren't in "our" house this holiday season we have so much that we are thankful for.
Happy Holidays

Mele mele!
Stayed up until one in the morning Christmas eve to get everything wrapped up and at six o'clock this morning (exactly) there were roosters crowing in our ear! Seems my uncle has this alarm clock that makes animal noises and everyone is supposed to get up early to open presents, don'tcha know? We are having an excellent Christmas, relatively speaking as it 'twere. Never seen so much coffee, chocolate and pies! Whew!
Hope everyone is as blessed.
A hui hou!
