Roseanne Barr-Book Signing in Hilo Feb 12th
#11
Here is a link to an interview with Roseanne in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution:

She has some interesting (and sorta nice) things to say about life on the Big Island.

Heard via coconut wireless that Roseanne Barr recently purchased the Kamuela Museum on Kawaihae Rd in Waimea. (I checked, same trust now listed on both the Waimea and Honokaa properties.) Was anyone ever inside it when the museum was open for tours? I stopped by the previous owners "garage" sale -- it was fascinating and eerie at the same time.

Which other well-known people have houses on the East side? I've heard VJ Singh (golfer) does. I also keep hearing Oprah has a house here but I think someone is mixing up the Big Island with Maui. Or they're mixing up Oprah with Roseanne!

VJ lives around here...I've waited on him. He's a piece of work, and not in a good way

Did anyone go? Must have been a blast.

md7000, Not much trippy about that. Everyone knows the perps conspired to carry that off. It's not like they put an ad in the paper advertising their planned two plane, three towers, criminal act.

It's not like foreign folks set up cameras in advance and publicly partied while filming it, right?

She may be a trippy lady, (in the best possible sense), but facts concerning the improbable event wouldn't have anything to do with it.

Again, did anybody go see her?

Wish we'd been there.

I stopped by out of curiosity. There was a long line out the door and down the block waiting to get her book Roseannearchy: Dispatches from the Nut Farm signed. She smiled a lot and looked relaxed and happy. She was on the Oprah show the next day and seems to have embraced her new Hawaiian life style. She actually loves farming and claims to meditate on a daily basis. She also expressed regret for the Super Bowl anthem debacle. I think she blamed it on meds.
