I realize that at 5 cents a bottle it isn't so cheap, but I like the idea. I am thinking of ordering the brochure on building it. Now I have to find someone who buys 2 liter bottles of soda.

I know this wouldn't work for me in Eden Roc. I have no sand or gravel. If I am going to stack up lots of stuff it would be the copious rocks.
I also worry about the durability of the plastic bottles. It is all well and good to say that the plastic will last a million years in a landfill, but plastic bottles left out in the sun for a few months start to disintegrate.

You can do something that is longer lasting, doesn't need to be filled, doesn't cost 5cents per bottle AND possibly win an energy grant by building the walls with wine bottles (not even a new idea... the first WHole Earth had this wall construction...)

Yes, that's why I was thinking "green house". I'm in Eden Roc also. Plenty of greenery, but no sand.
