I just remembered it was TuiTech they just opened up in Hilo and I think this was their grand opening to get clients special. I called and he said this was for spyware/ virus removal. They would include diagnosing but it would probably be more to fix, it's a stuck key and some other weird issues. I just bought a desk top, I may just have to buy a new laptop too..

If it's a new keyboard you need just ebay it. They can usually be found reasonably priced. I've replaced several laptop keyboards over the years and they were all fairly easy to do.

Not sure what kind of computer you have, but I always use my external keyboard.

Just got a new one from Apple-- wireless, aluminum, weighs almost nothing, full keyboard without the numeric pad, $69, free shipping. Wired keyboard with numeric pad, $49 new.

But then I use my laptop closed and hooked up to a nicer monitor than the laptop display, with the external keyboard, in place of a desktop.

With my old keyboard, I would leave it at home when I took the laptop somewhere, but with this featherweight little wireless that fits nicely in a laptop bag, it will travel.

Sorry if you have a PC. Don't know if they have such nifty accessories.

Hi Kathy, I thought about getting a wireless keyboard, but the problem is the L key is stuck permanantly. As soon as I turn on the computer. The L soon fills the screen. I tried popping it up off and checking the hinges, but even with the L completely removed, hinges and all, the L keeps typing. Thus for this laptop I will need to replace the board. I tried taking it apart last night and was successful, put it back together and it still worked. Smile I think I'll take Pua'a suggestion and replace it, it's only around $20. if that doesn't work, computer shopping for me. Smile thanks everyone.

You're welcome. I'm glad it worked out for you.
Now if I could just get my wife to get all of her stuff off of her old laptop and start using her new one, then I could have a new used laptop, as I've finally given up on my old WinMe Toshiba (it's not capable of Xp).
