dipole anyone

I am dusting off my ancient kenwood 440 ts and will be putting up a dipole for dx ing and marine net ssb work

anyone have any experience here on the eastside? I am looking for advice on dipole orientation I'm thinking nw/se as the best orientation

any hams out there?

looks like a north south orientation did the trick ..... mostly new zealand and africa on the ham radio last night
