Would Puna Community support a Medical Cannabis Di
#51
Last non topic post (I hope).

The comparison of cannabis and fruit items is based on toxicity standards like LD50 (lethal dose that kills half lab animals) and the fact that, because cannabinoids impart medical benefits, all consumption (except for those with Legionaires Disease last I read), has medicinally beneficial components, regardless of the consumers intent.

No real surprise that plant (and human) produced plant compounds like the cannabinoids impart medical benefits. Previous generations of Americans (before 1930), knew this well, they just didn't know that the cannabis tinctures and preparations they consumed was "marijuana".

Bottom line though, Rob's observation is spot on.

Jerry,

Yes, that's my impression.

On the other hand, Steve Kubby consumes a pound a month of very strong cannabis and according to his oncologist, has kept his otherwise incurable cancer at bay for over twenty five years. He's done pretty well on this regimen, as he ran for the Gubernatorial slot on the Libertarian Party in CA. and is a world class athlete.

The Phoenix Tears oil requires a pound of buds per ounce. I think Canadian Broadcasting Co. did a two hour program on Rick Simpson, the man, (not a pot smoker), who discovered and champions it's use.

The medical laws here are not nearly adequate to address what appear to be the realities.

I looked for updates on the bill somewhat under discussion and couldn't find anything.

Anybody got any current news about it?
