Fire in lower Puna?

Anyway know what is going on with all the helicopters down here near Seaview and Puna Palisades? Awful burning plastic smell all morning and now a bunch of helicopters including some with dangling things that I'm guessing are filled with water.

They are flying here too this AM... But I dont smell anything this far.

As of 1130 both the smell and helicopters are gone. Wonder what it was. It actually looked like one of the copters landed in the direction of Puna Palisades.

I didn't see any today but I know that in the past drug copters fly down the state forest on the sides of those subdivisions and if they find pakalolo they have a hose that dangles down and sprays da kine with roundup or something. They are allowed to do this so I was told because the land belongs to the state, but it sure seems close to a lot of homes and catchment tanks. Think the smell could have been chemicals?

Yeah, maybe that was it. I think the smell was just some moron burning trash, since it seemed to then come and go all day.
