bake sale question??

Hello,
I was wondering about the outdoor markets and about food service permits for bake sale items.
Doyou need a permit from the health dept?
I looked but did not see anything about bake sales.
In alaska you can do the jam/jelly/bake sale just get a booth and away-u-go....

Even schools need baked goods to have been produced in a certified kitchen. However,many of the neighborhood Hui's (community centers) have certified kitchens you can rent by the hour or day. Road side sellers are entirely under the radar as far as I can tell.
