Anyone have a t-shirt printer recommendation? I'd like to put some of my art on t-shirts for sale, so I'd need a # of sizes of a # of images. I see Creative Arts Hawaii in Hilo, but I have a feeling they might be pricey. Or I could be wrong - haven't approached them yet. Any recommendations? Thanks, all!

Creative Arts does a lot of wholesale printing for artists who then sell the shirts both retail and wholesale, so they must not be too expensive. A big mark up is often put on the shirts, so if you are going to sell the shirts retail yourself you might want to get two prices: one if you provide the shirts, and one where they do. Back when I was in the business, I used to buy shirts from Imprints Wholesale out of the Seattle area. Their prices were very good. I remember one time when I dealt with a screen printer they quoted me a price that was $1-2 more per shirt. They had Imprints wholesale boxes all over the place, so I knew what they paid, and when I asked, they said they routinely added an upcharge on shirts if they ordered the shirts. I was able to control what styles and sizes I had for sale better by providing the shirts myself.
If you want to sell to the same people more than once, get good shirts. There is nothing worse than having nice art on cheap shirts. I was always partial to Anvil, Fruit of the Loom sizing was inconsistent, and Beefy'Ts were cut wide, not long. But I've been out of the business for over 6 years now, so get samples.

We've had 3 runs at Creative Arts. We'll use them again. Been good to work with.
As stated, get a quality shirt.
Also went to their warehouse sale two weeks ago and restocked my personal stash. - hard to beat 99 cent tees
