All - a real quick query I hope. Is the Pahoa transfer station accepting old appliances again and if so, does a broken water cooler count as an appliance with them?
I know for a while they stopped taking appliances while the station was being redone and haven't been back there since then. Thanks in advance!

Don't know about the water cooler, but they are accepting appliances. Just inside the gate there's a dump trailer you can pull up to.

I know this may sound silly, but have you thought of putting it on freecycle? (Depending on what is broken, someone may want it for something...)
The appliance page of zerowasteHawaii may help you decide on the appliance decision (depenging on the electronices, may also be E-Waste on the recyclehawaii site)
