I recently hired Bob Kirk,robguz' partner to do the roofing over the deck.
He is my neighbor and I've seen the beautiful house he and Rob built together.More than 5 years,still look like brand new.
He is a very intelligent,talented and very pleasant person to deal with.
For those who might think : "Who cares if a builder is smart or not if he does a good job ?" I give you the example why it matters.

Rob said on this forum about him: "he worked fast, has amazing attention to detail, and was able to figure out things that other people I hired could not".

In my case being smart ,skillful and efficient meant a very good price.

Here's how:
1.A good handyman quote about the same price.

2.When I was waiting for Bob to finish his several projects (I guess he got recognized for his talent) there was another experienced builder who really needed the money and was willing to "beat the price".

He said on site : "I don't know how the other guy is going to do it for this money".

Well,Bob did a very good job at my house - perfect quality,fast and clean.
I was at work ,no supervisor (well,the 4-legged one doesn't count []).

Would like to know if anyone has had dealings with Sanborn Trucking & Excavation and Double D Services. I've got a couple of quotes on some work I want done and just like to get some feedback on those two companies.
