The Dreaded "Meat Man" in HPP ,..once again!?
#1
it has come to my attention thru a few neighbors that someone posing as a door to door salesman of 'meats' has been snooping around the subdivision. I say snooping because for a door to door salesperson he's very bold in has business ways. Neighbors have complaint that his female work partners/helpers have gone as afar as to open their closed gate to let the "Meat Wagon" onto neighbor's property!? Can you imagine that? You're at home, and then you notice some strange wahine opening your closed gate to allow a stranger to drive his "meatwagon" aka "ripoff mobile" onto your property. Well, this is just one of their brazen tactics that they use.

To me he sounds like a ripoff posing as a home to home salesperson. Have any of you heard about this guy in your neighbohood, or has he coming knocking on your door? I'm curious if he's legit?

Cripes, we can't just close the gate anymore, now we have to lock it as well.

The Meat Man and a wahine stopped by here last week in Hawaiian Acres. I'm a ways off pavement and I couldn't quite believe that they could expect to be driving around out here and expect to be selling $400 packages of meat. The guys delivery was so over-the-top intense that I almost thought it was all a practical joke. Needless to say I didn't purchase anything. They said that they came from Kona but I don't think I could believe anything from that guy.

Does not matter to me how "legitimate" they are or people think they are, if they open someones gate to enter, that is pretty stupid, especially considering the dogs most people in this area have behind those closed gates. A closed gate is not an invitation to enter.

I not saying the guy isn't doing some stupid stuff, but heck, at least he's trying to make, what appears to be, an honest living.

He came to our house maybe a month ago - just drove up the drive thru the gate. I thought that was pretty brazen, esp. bc he drove up sorta fast (so much for looking out for pets etc!) - he immediately rubbed me the wrong way. I just said, "No thanks - we don't eat meat"--not true, but hey--and stood there til he backed out. No woman with him, just the guy. And I gotta say, like I'm gonna buy meat from a door-to-door dude in a truck.

They sowed up here today, only because the gate is open. My road is 1000 feet long from the road. I live in Orchidland on 40th. Told his he was trespassing and to leave. Lic #451 TTG. Number on the truck is 853-Beef.
