Here is a fun one I just came up with and expect will yield tasty variations with further experimentation and development. At the Makuu Market large sweet pumpkin-orange-fleshed mame sapote fruits are now available ripe in season, so a local source is ready to hand for the exotic magic ingredient in this relatively healthy and ever so delicious dessert recipe. Quick, easy, and tastes akin to pumpkin pie à la mode yet better--in the sense of having more subtle and complex flavors to savor--and is sans both the baking and crust! VANILLA-MAME DESSERT DELIGHT Ingredients: One ripe mame sapote fruit Dreyer's French Vanilla ice creme Optional: vanilla extract, organic Puna honey, cinnamon, orchid flowers Prep Time: Less than five minutes Method: 1) Slice open a ripe mame sapote fruit and remove the large seed(s); set seed(s) aside for planting. Scoop flesh from rind and discard rind. Dice flesh into small bits for better flavor dispersal. 2) Mix an equal amount of Dreyer's French Vanilla ice creme with ripe diced mame sapote fruit (if the ice creme emerges solidly rock hard from the freezer then microwave for 10 to 20 seconds to soften without melting before mixing together with the diced fruit). 3) Optional: For enthusiastic vanilla-lovers stir in a few drops of pure vanilla orchid extract in order to boost this aspect; drizzle golden zig-zags of organic local Puna honey atop the mixture of diced fruit and ice creme, sprinkle an attractive dusting of cinnamon lightly over the honey and fruit-ice creme mix, and serve in chilled bowls complete with beautiful orchid flower garnishes. )'( )'( )'( )'( )'( )'( )'( )'( )'( )'( )'( )'( )'( )'( )'( )'( )'( )'( )'( )'( )'( Günther - Tutti Frutti Summer Love http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v3sNARLNu_Y )'( )'( )'( )'( )'( )'( )'( )'( )'( )'( )'( )'( )'( )'( )'( )'( )'( )'( )'( )'( )'(
