Thought I'd share with you all some of the great items donated for Saturday's Toys For Tots' silent auction being held as part of the T4T Rock N Roll Dance and Pupu Buffet being held at Akebono Theater in Pahoa, starting at 5:30 p.m.

We've got great gift certificates from Pahoa Auto Parts, Pahoa Battery & Propane, Pahoa Seed & Fertilizer, Akamai Pest Solutions, Kilauea Veterinary Services (a free spay/neuter for dog or cat), 2 nights at the Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort, buffets for 2 from Mauna Kea Beach Hotel and King Kamehameha Kona Beach Resort, Massage by Kilikina, 2 gift certificates from Mum Clinic, CDs from Willie K and Lee Eisenstein, artworks from StoneFace Hawaii, Nelson Makua, Dorian Weisel, Patti Pease Johnson, Cheryll Halsey, Charles Cristian Hansen, a nice holiday gift basket from Big Island Candies, Harley-Davidson and Orchid Land Surf Shop T-shirts and more!

Dave Seawater's IBIS will be playing as are Bo Lozoff and Kaliko Guys, Dan Nixx as Elvis, and Penny Madamba is emceeing. The USO players led by M J Svoboda and featuring the Sesame St. T4T mascots will also perform. Luquin's is manning the cash bar so this is an adults' only event. Hope you can make it....it should be a fun evening! Oops, I almost forgot...admission is a $20 ticket, available at the door, OR a UNWRAPPED NEW toy. (Long's Drugs is having a great toy sale this week!)

Island Naturals, Kitchen and Beyond, and Garden Exchange have been added to the Toys For Tots silent auction donors. Pahoa Battery and Propane has donated a single-burner LP gas stove and future Leilani Estate residents living in Maine sent 2 Harley-Davidson T-shirts to auction 'cause they want to support their new home. Sweet, huh?

Ack, I forgot to check this thread this morning. Sorry Frankie! If I find someone coming to Pahoa tomorrow, could I still send them along, or would that create more chaos than necessary? Either way, please put me on the list for donors next year []
